Traffic...

Life is insanely different living in Manhattan vs. living in Los Angeles. As I sit at starbucks on 27th and 7 Ave I began to realize how much I would hate driving in the city.

However, I cant really say LA was much easier ... upon thinking this... I dug up an archive entry in my comp about traffic in LA... was quite interesting to relive.

Tell me if you feel my pain...

Don’t you love how taking side roads never allows an escape from rush hour traffic for the reason that you will be stopping at every other stoplight. You’ll find yourself cursing and screaming, “GO!!” at the Civic in front of you that is just too afraid to go for a yellow light. Whether you’re waiting on the 405, or trying to speed down Figueroa you are going to have the same reluctant occurrence.

I also constantly catch myself getting so impatient with my designated lane that is serving me no justice by moving at a glacial pace, that I’m always quickly changing lanes into the one that is momentarily going faster. The feeling of advancement gets swiftly assassinated as I count the numerous cars and trucks behind the car I was previously following effortlessly pass me in my now standstill lane.
